Do 737's have one engine or two?
When I'm flying on a 737 and I look out my window, I only see one engine. How could there possibly be two?

Because you're just looking out of the left or the right side of the plane.

I know. It's hard to spot when someone is being sarcastic on the internets!

Because you're just looking out of the left or the right side of the plane.
Which means there is only one side of the airplane that is flying. The other side is simply catching up with it. But how can you prove there is an engine on the other side?

Yes, this is true, but unless you suffer from amnesia,
you'd remember that you saw the other engine at the other side of the plane.

But how do I know that what I see out the window is actually what is there? How do I know it's not a video screen?

Why shouldn't it be? Why would they replace windows with video screens in airplanes?
You can look out of the airplanes window from the moment you sit down in your seat.
Everything you see matches up with what you saw before you entered the plane.
Therefore it's highly unlikely that there are video screens as windows in airplanes.

Because planes only run on one engine, dumbshit.

Some planes, not all, do run on only one engine, that is correct.

I hold a commercial pilots license with a multi-engine rating and an instrument rating. This means I know what I'm talking about when it comes to aviation. I was joking about a 737 having one engine.
I also hold the highest class amateur radio license, the "Amateur Extra." This means I know what I'm talking about when it comes to radio wave propagation.
Oh, but you have left the building. Excuse the intrusion.
