i personally have and see no problems in believing in god on the one hand and believing in the correctness of scientific advancements on the other hand.

Agreed.  This is what Christian Science is.  Studying how God did it without displaying the ignorance many do when they automatically discount science because they think the Bible says something different, such as believing the Bible says the earth is flat when it is a misinterpretation of what it really says.

God is the being that created Everything in this
Universe. If you want to know more read a bible.
The Bible is a piece of fiction, at best it can be called chinese whispered scribbled rants of savages trying to be moral a couple of millenia ago, if you want to call that factual then you really need to learn a bit more, that is if you're not too indoctrined to do so. I don't see you getting anywhere debating the way you do as all you are doing is telling us to read the bible (to which I have done long ago and do not wish to waste any more of my time going back to it as it was shit).
You appear to be here not to listen to anyone's point of view but to be heard, that's not healthy debate practice leading to the inevitable of anyone contradicting you kicking off into a flame match.

Continue as you usually do and you will narrow down what you are to me into 2 options:
[ ] - Troll
[ ] - Thick Indoctrined Fundie

There are many scientifically verifyable truths to the Bible.  There are many things which either cannot or have not been proved yet, but many things which have.  My point is, you cannot call the Bible "fiction" or "fairy tales" simply because you don't believe it.  In fact, if you didn't know there are many things in the Bible which have been proved, it shows you haven't read it.

Quote from: KingMan
Why do you assume that just because I am Christian I do not think for myself? I constantly think about my faith And have had experiences that draw me to one conclusion: God exists. And religion has always been around, and we have progressed nicely over the years. Look at the difference in just the last century! How do you know that without religion we would be samarter? We are always getting progressively advanced. Some people think we are advancing too quickly. We are creating problems faster than we can come up with solutions now.
No, you misunderstood. I'm not saying you're NOT thinking. I meant you should be thinking more out of the box.
Now for the question: What is God in your eyes?

God is the being that created Everything in this

Why do the religious always think that Atheists have not read the Bible. I have read the Bible and that is why I am an Atheist.

The Bible paints God as a complete Psychopath. There is no way that I am going to worship that.

One thing I learned during a sermon:  Many atheists will study the Bible for years just so they can attack it and cause confusion and uncertanty among Christians who have not taken the time to study it as dilegently as they have.

Yes. Genocide. God seems to condone this because He stopped the Sun so that Joshua could kill all the Amorites (Joshua 10:11–13).

Again, this fits the profile of a Psychopath, just one with the power to stop the Sun.

Well, if God in fact did create mankind, does He not have the right to destroy that which He created?

Tell me what I'm missing here.

Be your own God!
Autotheism is a form of Satanism, thanks for the suggestion though.

We must have read different Bibles, either that or your perception of "truths" differ from my own.

The latter is correct.  Your "perceptions" of the "truth" are exactly what you choose them to be.  You will then naturally assume you are right and all other opinions are wrong.
